Raspberries

Running:
I was able to run another 8 miles today. A little over 6 miles into the run my Garmin ran out of battery and shut down. I hadn't had that happen in a while. Based on the time for that portion I would have run probably right around 1:09 today. That's how it's going in the books. 20 in two days and 40 for the week. I run my running weeks Monday to Sunday. I've done this for years now. It seems to give you some more flexibility and take a little stress off when trying to make weekly mileage goals than a standard Sunday to Saturday. Today I saw a doe and two fawns again about a quarter mile from where I saw them yesterday. Likely the same ones but maybe not.

Hunting:
This morning a went out to survey the couple of deer stands I have on the property. It looks like one of them will need to be partially rebuilt. Some big winds a couple weeks ago must have busted several of the boards loose. I've been meaning to make this one a little bigger and more comfortable anyway I guess.

Gardening:
Today's surprise is that the raspberries have begun to ripen. When I went down to pick strawberries today I noticed a few were red. I was able to pick about a cup full. This was a pleasant surprise. In a couple of weeks this will turn out to be several quarts each day.
