Acorn drop

Running:
On Wednesday I did complete the double. Kevin and I ran my 5 mile work route in 37.35. A pretty good pace considering I had already run 6.5 in the morning. Today I got out for another 11.5 miles in 1:36:59. This puts me at 31 for the week and 174 MTD. This is already more than I had last month with 11 more days to go including two weekends.

Hunting:
While running this morning I really noticed the acorn drop. What a mess on the roads in spots where the big oaks hang over the roads. There appears to be more than normal amount of acorns on the burr oaks found around here. Lots of food for the wildlife this fall. I saw two groups of about 40 turkeys near the two biggest stands of oaks. Maybe they were out for a snack. For sure the squirrels were.

Gardening:

Got out this evening to clean up the garden a bit. Pulled some weeds and picked a few things.
The big prize today was the carrots. Many are more than big enough to pull now. I pulled some white, yellow and the normal orange ones. Some of these will be in my lunch tomorrow.
